| The
YMCA After School Care program
is designed to provide a safe
environment for school age children
while providing what kids need
developmentally to become successful
young adults. Our program is licenses
and inspected by the Texas Department
of Protective and Regulatory Services.
Our staff is trained in CPR and
First Aid, as well as, positive
discipline, conflict resolution,
child development, and age appropriate
activities. We keep a maximum
of 20 children to 1 staff member.
The Greenville YMCA After School
Care program currently services
all GISD Elementary Schools. The
YMCA curriculum focuses on the
following subject areas: fitness
and wellness, literacy, science
and technology, homework, character
development, social competency,
conflict resolution, and arts
and humanities. |
